The 1986 Mother’s Cookies A’s set was a team issue baseball card set. The cards were manufactured by Mother's Cookies and given away at an A’s home game on July 20, 1986. The cards are standard sized and (like most Mother’s sets) feature full bleed photographs on the card fronts. The 28-card set features all the active players on the team, as well as the trainers, coaching staff, and a card with the Oakland Coliseum that serves as a checklist. The cards were given out in 20 card starter sets and a certificate for the remaining 8 cards. Collectors were encouraged to trade with their friends to make a whole set. The most notable card is #9 Jose Canseco, a card released during his rookie year.
