New Horizons is an insert set in 1997 Fleer. This 15-card set features young players on the verge of being stars, just over the horizon. The cards were inserted in Series 2 packs at a rate of 1:4 in hobby and retail packs. Fleer actually did a pretty good job forecasting the players in the set. Kevin Orie, a notable bust, had the shortest career of any player in the set.
