Base Set
- Base Set Checklist and Gallery
The 2004 Topps Cracker Jack set design is based on the 1914 Cracker Jack baseball card set that is still extremely popular with collectors. The original design has remained but the cards have been resized to today's standard format. The cards feature a grained photograph of the player on a red background on the card front. Card backs feature a short biographical summary of the player but no statistics. Several players from the original set are also reprinted in this set including Nap Lajoie, Bert Shotton, and Branch Rickey. The base set includes 200 cards. There are a number of cards whose backs are flipped, this was done intentionally as the backs were flipped on many of the original 1914 cards.
50 shortprint and variation cards were inserted at a rate of 1:3 packs. Bringing the master set total to 250 cards. The short prints are noted in the checklist.
Parallel Sets
4 different parallel sets were included in the 2004 Topps Cracker Jack set. All the minis were printed on the same size as the original 1914 Cracker Jack cards. The Red, Blue and White sets parallel both the card fronts and backs, while the sticker cards have different backs than the regular cards. The Reds and Stickers are contained in most packs while the Blues are rare and the Whites are extremely rare.

A number of game used and autographed inserts were included in packs. Overall, there were about 2 GU or AU per box.
1-2-3 Strikes You're Out! Relics
An 18-card game used insert set that featured game used jersey and uni swatches from star major league pitchers. The cards were inserted in four different group with varying insert rates.
Mini Autographs
6 of the mini cards were autographed and inserted into packs at an overall rate of 1:258 Hobby and Retail packs.
Secret Surprise Signatures
A series of 11 autographed mini cards that were inserted into hobby and retail surprise packs. The cards are split into 4 groups with group A being by far the most rare.
Take Me Out to the Ballgame! Relics
A game used insert set included in 2004 Topps Cracker Jacks. The cards are the same size as the mini parallel cards of the same set printed on a slightly thicker stock. Note that almost all of these jersey pieces are either a single color or might include a pinstripe any patch or prime pieces should be viewed with skepticism. The are split into ten groups and are inserted at roughly 2 per box.
