All-Star Game Stitches is an insert set in 2011 Topps Update. This 75-card set features game used jersey swatches from the 2011 Major League Baseball All-Star Game. The base level cards were not serial numbered but with paralleled in a Diamond Anniversary set (SN to 60 each) and a Gold Canary Diamond set (each card is a 1/1). The Gold Canary set is particularly rare with insert odds of 1:45,000 packs.

The Kevin Correia card is somewhat notable as there are only 11 game used cards (including parallels) of him produced during his career. In fact his inclusion in the 2011 All-Star Game is an oddity in itself. He was 10-6 with a 4+ ERA. He did not pitch in the game. Plus the Pirates already had Joel Hanrahan and Andrew McCutchen as their representatives at the Midsummer Classic. This Pirates team was not exactly tearing up the league either, they were a few games over 0.500 at the break but collapsed in the second half finishing with a 70-92 record.

Insert Odds[]

  • Base Level Card 1:51
  • Diamond Card 1:759
  • Gold Canary 1:45,000

This card set article could use a checklist. Tedious yes, but very useful. You can help the Baseball Card Wiki by creating one.
