Eddie Plank was a major league baseball player and Hall of Famer. Plank was a lefthanded pitcher in the early 1900's for the Philadelphia A's. He was the first lefthanded pitcher to win 300 games and won two World Series titles with the A's. If the awards had existed when he played he could have won the Cy Young in 1906 or 1907. He retired with 326 wins. Plank was selected for the Hall of Fame by the Old Timers Comittee in 1946.
In the hobby, Plank has a relatively low popularity, but has one very meaningful card. The 1909-1911 T206 396 is known as the second most valuable baseball card only behind the Honus Wagner card from the same set.
