Joe Nathan is the current closer for the Minnesota Twins. He was originally drafted by the Giants but was sent to the Twins (with Francisco Liriano as part of the trade for AJ Pierzynski. In Minnesota, at the age of 29, Nathan emerged as one of the most dominant closers in baseball. He earned an All-Star appearances in 2004, 2005 and 2008. Nathan was also on the Team USA roster for the 2006 World Baseball Classic.
