Morgan Ensberg is a former major league baseball player. Originally drafted out of high school by the Mariners, Ensberg played at USC (an All-American and only Trojan to ever have 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases in the same season) prior to being drafted by the Astros in the 1998 draft. He did not get to the majors until 2002 (although he demolished minor league pitching) as he was blocked by Jeff Bagwell and Vinny Castilla. Ensberg had a career year in 2005, the year the Astros went to the World Series but lost.
Ensberg is the only player in history to have been on teams that won championships at the College World Series, Rookie League (1998), Single A (1999), AA (2000), AAA (2001), and make a World Series roster (2005).
After retiring from baseball, Ensberg began a coaching career.
Baseball Cards[]
Rookie Cards[]
Ensberg appeared on a card in 1998 but it was a minor league team release. He would have 24 Rookie Cards in 2001, mostly in update/short print subsets. But the 2001 Upper Deck #296 and 2001 Bowman Draft BDP-41 are probably the easiest to obtain.
Autographed Cards[]
Ensberg appeared on more than 130 autographed cards. His first was in the 2001 SPx set. His last was in 2006 Topps Triple Threads. His 2006 Bowman Originals #649 is probably one of the most highly desirable autograph cards.
