Phil Hughes is a former major league baseball player. He pitched 12 years, starting with the New York Yankees. He made one All-Star team and finished in the top ten of Cy Young voting once.
Hughes was very popular as a prospect and a young pitcher. Part of Hughes popularity springs from the fact that he himself is a collector, frequenting hobby message boards and giving collectors an inside look at the process of making cards. For example he showed pictures of cards he was sent to autograph for one particular set. Hughes remains active on social media even with his playing career being over.
