Pinnacle was a series of baseball card sets produced by Pinnacle Brands from 1992 until 1998. The set was relatively high end for its time, with chase insert cards and a unique (at that time) black border/background design. The brand did not survive after Donruss purchased Pinnacle Brands in 1998. In 2013, Panini revived the Pinnacle brand and released a set included many of the same concepts that were used in the mid-1990's (Museum Collection Parallels, etc.)
1992 Pinnacle[]
The 1992 Pinnacle was the first release for their new brand. It was released in two series with a striking black background with white letter and borders. It was released in two series with several insert sets that would become mainstays in the set for years to come.
1993 Pinnacle[]
In 1993, Pinnacle brand had very little change from the year before. Again released in two series and again with a white on black design with a nearly identical group of insert sets.
