Shelby Miller is a major league baseball player. Miller was drafted in the 1st Round of 2009 MLB draft by the St. Louis Cardinals out of high school. He was the Minor League Pitcher of the Year for the Cardinals in 2010 and 2011 as well as representing the Cardinals in the MLB Futures All-Star Game in 2010 and 2011. He made his major league debut in Sep 2012 at the age of 21. Miller finished third in the NL Rookie of the Year voting in 2013. He was traded to the Braves in 2014, where he made the All-Star team. Beginning in 2016, Miller began having injury issues, finally having Tommy John surgery in 2017. Comeback attempts in 2018 and 2019 did not go well, Miller might be a cautionary tale for TJ not always working.
