Yovani Gallardo is a current major league baseball player. Originally Gallardo was a 2nd round draft choice by the Brewers in 2004. He made his major league debut in 2007 at the age of 21. In 2008, he tore his ACL and missed a significant amount of time. But he eventually returned as a solid pitcher. After a decade as a Brewers, Gallardo pitched for several other teams.
In 2007 and 2008 Gallardo was thought of as one of the top pitching prospects in baseball. Although he did not turn into a Hall of Fame pitcher, he has had a solid major league career, winning a Silver Slugger and was selected for one All-Star game (injury prevented him from playing in the game).
